The irony of Detroit. Here's a piece of little known trivia: Al Kaline lived right here in his first seasons as a baseball player. Of course, Al's place of residence is, as Ernie Harwell would say, "LONG GONE!!". Who'd have thunk that this immediate area would one day replace Tiger Stadium? I don't think Al did.
